Faculty Lunch and Workshop March 14th, with guest Elizabeth Stordeur Pryor
Faculty are invited to a pedagogy workshop with Smith College professor and historian Elizabeth Stordeur Pryor (author of Colored Travelers: Mobility and the Fight for Citizenship before the Civil War, 2016). Her participatory workshop “The ‘N-word’ in the Classroom: Why We Need to Talk About It,” will be held in the BCRW Conference Room (Milstein 614), on March 14, 2019 from 11am to 1pm. Lunch will be provided. This event is co-sponsored by the Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Faculty Committee on Diversity and Development, the Provost’s Office, and the Center for Engaged Pedagogy*, hosted by Barnard Center for Research on Women.
