Staff News

Vice Provost of Academic Research and Centers Reshmi Mukherjee and ERC Faculty Director David Weiman are co-chairing the search for a new Dean of BLAIS. Social Sciences Librarian Jennie Correia is representing BLAIS on the search committee and is joined by Jennifer Rosales, Executive Director of the Center for Engaged Pedagogy, along with other faculty and staff.

Martha Tenney accepted the position of Director of Barnard Archives and Special Collections. Martha was the Associate Director prior to this appointment and has shaped a national field and our campus. We’re glad to have her leadership at Barnard Archives!

Jen Brown has accepted a new position at the University of California Berkeley: Undergraduate Research and Learning Librarian. We’ll miss you, Jen!

Circulation & Access Student Associate Hawa Tunkara BC ‘21 has a savvy new podcast talking with young people about college and business and the business of college, “The H-Suite Chats”! Listen here

Gabri Christa, Director of the Movement Lab and Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Dance, will join Miami Light’s Project, ScreenDance Miami as a panelist and Masterclass host.

Associate Director of Media and IMATS Rachel James earned Avid Instructor Certification at a week-long intensive in Miami in January. Avid is film and video editing software, available for students to use for free in the lab, MLC 105.

Zine Librarian Jenna Freedman is presenting Digital Humanities Week on Wednesday, February 5th. The session is called “Zine Union Catalog: Bringing Together Disparate, Unruly Data.”
