Sumayya Mokit is from Queens, NYC. She is a sophomore at Barnard College majoring in Environmental Biology on a Pre-Health track. Her interests in Environmental Biology roots from her own experiences with environmental issues in Bangladesh. Sumayya had previously interned at Lamont-Doherty and the DOE Office of Sustainability researching Combined Sewage Overflows and sustainability. In her free time, she loves to bullet-journal, do pottery, bake many sorts of desserts, and explore museums and historical sites.
