This will be a two-day lecture series open to faculty, staff, and students featuring three scholars who apply innovative pedagogical practices to foster inclusion in three different fields.  On December 15th from 10:30-11am, Bryan Dewsbury, Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Rhode Island, will lead "The Education of the Whole Student," a lecture exploring revisions to STEM teaching and learning. On December 15th from 1-3pm, María R. Scharrón-del Río, Associate Dean and Professor of Education at CUNY Brooklyn, will lead "Centering Liberation in the Classroom: Intersectional and Decolonizing Reflections on our Pedagogical Praxis," a lecture addressing issues that arise when engaging in queer/feminist/anti-oppressive/liberation pedagogy. On December 16th from 1-3pm, Dipti Desai, Art Professor at New York University, will lead "We Make the Road by Walking: Collective Art Activist Pedagogy," a lecture interrogating social justice art and education: what does social justice mean, and who do we do it for?
