The Digital Humanities Center, Center for Engaged Pedagogy, and IMATS invite Barnard Faculty to participate in the second annual Thinking Digitally Summer Institute (TDSI). TDSI is a virtual, intensive institute for faculty to design assignments that critically engage with digital technologies.
This multi-day institute includes one-on-one consultations, training in digital tools for the classroom, workshops on integrating digital assignments into your syllabus, and more! Last year’s participants described the institute as “a tremendous experience,” “a great model for how to do workshops online,” and “one of the most stimulating and gratifying pedagogical experiences I have ever had!” Laurie Postlewate (French) writes that “it was so useful and so well thought-out as an event. I came away with both practical knowledge I can use right away, and lots of ideas for the future.”
The Institute will run in April or May. The specific dates of the Institute will be determined by the schedules of the selected participants. Participating faculty will receive stipends of $500. To express interest, please complete this short questionnaire no later than March 15th.
